I've been absolutely loving my new uConsole from ClockworkPi so far! This cyberdeck has quickly become one of my favorite maker projects, and I've been diving deep into creating custom programs and exploring all its capabilities.
While I haven't done any major hardware mods yet, I did design and 3D print a WiFi antenna spacer to give the antenna some breathing room from the case. You can find this design on my Thangs page if you want to print one for your own uConsole. Interestingly, I've found no compelling reason to upgrade to a fully external dipole antenna yet. The stock setup has been performing well for my needs.
I'm currently waiting for HackerGadgets to restock the RTL-SDR/LoRa/GPS/RTC/USB Hub All-In-One Extension Board, which is going to be my next major upgrade for the uConsole. I'm incredibly excited about the possibilities it will unlock. The combination of software-defined radio, LoRa communication, GPS positioning, and expanded USB connectivity is going to open up a whole new world of projects, and I can't wait to share what I build with this setup!
If you're interested in getting your own cyberdeck, head over to ClockworkPi's official site to learn more about the uConsole. I personally ordered mine from Sapsan Sklep, and I was blown away by their exceptional delivery time. Highly recommended if you're in Europe!
Stay tuned for more updates as I continue to push the boundaries of what this little machine can do. Whether it's custom software, hardware mods, or integration projects, the uConsole has become an essential part of my maker toolkit. Have questions about the uConsole or want to share your own projects, Email in and I will make a post!
