Good question. Honestly, it's one I get asked fairly regularly, usually followed by "wait, is it just you?", to which the answer is yes. Just me. One person. One workbench. One increasingly concerning collection of Raspberry Pi's and other IoT devices.
So let's clear it up properly.
The short version
Noppitlabs is a small UK maker store selling IoT devices, cybersecurity gadgets, maker kits, and open source hardware. Everything in the shop has been personally designed, built, tested, and shipped by me, an 18-year-old engineering student based in Devon who probably spends too much time in the lab.
No warehouse. No team. No dropshipping. Just a workbench, a 3D printer, and the stubborn habit of actually finishing what I start.
What does Noppitlabs actually make?
Right now the catalogue includes:
The Pwnagotchi, A pocket-sized AI companion powered by a Raspberry Pi Zero W that wanders around sniffing WiFi handshakes and pulling faces on an e-ink display. It's a cybersecurity research tool that also happens to be inexplicably adorable. It learns. It sulks when it's bored. It's brilliant.
The Bjorn, Bjorn is a Raspberry Pi-based network auditing tool built for makers and security researchers who want to understand what's actually happening on a network. Powerful, portable, and deeply satisfying to use.
Meshtastic LoRa Device, A pre-flashed, ready-to-go device that lets you send messages off-grid over several kilometres. No phone signal. No Wi-Fi. No data plan. Just radio waves doing their thing across the Devon countryside (or wherever you happen to be).
3D Printed Cases, Custom-designed enclosures for the Pwnagotchi and Bjorn, designed in-house and printed here. Because your gadgets deserve a proper home.
More products are in the works the catalogue is growing and I've got a lot of ideas that need to stop being ideas and start being things you can actually buy.
Why does Noppitlabs exist?
Partly because I love building things. Partly because I couldn't always find what I wanted at a price that didn't make me wince. And partly because there's something deeply satisfying about designing a device, printing the enclosure, flashing the firmware, testing it until it works properly, and then sending it to someone who actually uses it.
Every product in this shop is something I've used myself. If something's gone wrong with it, I've probably already fixed it. If something could be better, I'm probably already redesigning it. There's no committee involved. No brand meetings. Just me deciding whether something is good enough to put my name on, and if it isn't, going back to the workbench.
Who is it for?
Makers. Engineers. Curious people who read the datasheet for fun. People who take things apart just to see how they work and then struggle to put them back together. Students. Security researchers. Anyone who's ever started a sentence with "I wonder if I could build a..."

What else goes on here?
There's a blog, tutorials, build logs, guides, and the occasional update on whatever's currently taking over the workbench. There's also a GitHub with open source firmware and code, and a Thangs page with free 3D printable designs if you want to print your own enclosures.
Everything is open. Everything is documented. That's the point.
